Chris Carver

My husband, Mark, and I moved to Newburyport in 2001. After a visit with friends who live in town, we had decided this was home. And ever since then we’ve felt exactly that, and have only grown to appreciate our community more each year. In September 2007, our daughter, Kate, was born and was welcomed home by our first ‘baby’ – a soon-to-be 11- year-old-but-still-very-spunky boxer, Daisy. I now divide my time between being home with Kate and managing my small interior design firm two days a week. It’s a good balance since design has always been a love (though some might call it an obsession!) of mine. I’m happy to have the opportunity to serve on the board. The NMC has been an incredible source of support for me as a Mom, as have the great friends I’ve made through the NMC playgroup we formed when Kate was a few months old. I’ll be organizing Kids Outings for the 2010 year, and welcome any suggestions!
