Katrina Salka

Hi! As my kids will tell you, I’m Lily and Ronan’s mom. My husband, Derek, and I have been together for a total of 14 years. We were married and moved to beautiful Newburyport almost 11 years ago. Lily is now 8 years old and Ronan is 4.5. This is actually my second round as Newsletter Co-Editor for the Mothers Club. I served from 2005-2007 as the co-editor and newsletter designer. After taking some “time off” to focus on my family and rethink my career goals, I’m back and excited to take on this challenge with an even larger Club. (When I first joined, the NMC only had about 400 members!) I’ve met so many wonderful women and families through the Mothers Club, and I’m especially grateful for the friendships I’ve formed with the moms in my son’s playgroup, some of whom are also on the board this year! I am also the new Communications Coordinator for The Newburyport Hugh Doyle Resource Center, a nonprofit organization which coordinates services with the various social service agencies in Newburyport for children and adults in need. When I manage to find some time to myself, I enjoy doing crossword puzzles, reading, listening to music, cooking and occasionally watching my favorite TV shows.
